I've been there.
Within a short period of time, I found myself navigating an unexpected divorce, the loss of both of my parents, and the overwhelming task of rebuilding my life while raising my children. Like so many women, I kept hoping someone would come along and make everything okay. I imagined a kind, handsome man showing up with a tool belt, a bear hug, and all the answers.
But he never came.
And somewhere along the way, I realized something that changed my life:
No one was coming to rescue me.
So I decided to become the hero of my own story.
That's why I created She Became Her Own Hero.
Because heroes don't always wear capes or possess extraordinary powers. Sometimes a hero is an ordinary woman who gets out of bed when her heart is broken. She goes to work. She raises her children. She pays the bills. She cries, she heals, she grows, and little by little, she builds a life she never imagined possible.
